Unusually, Helen started her career as a creative and over the next 25 years gained experience in leading advertising, digital and marketing agencies. Her passion for delivering a brilliant product through people ultimately led her to focus on how agencies can improve business performance through better talent management.Having joined MediaCom in 2009 as our first ever Global Chief HR & Talent Officer, Helen’s mission has been to embed the business’s core principle of People First into everyone’s everyday experience of our culture.When she's not seeking out exceptional talent from around the world, Helen is keen on anything involving the big outdoors and entertaining with her family, whether that's horse-riding and skiing or cooking five course dinners with her husband and a glass of red.
What's your favourite ad campaign of all time?
Being both a self-confessed petrol head and a woman who knows her own mind, my favourite ad campaign has to be a specific Volkswagen Golf advert back in 1987. Directed by David Bailey and titled ‘Changes’, the advert showed Paula Hamilton as a woman who could leave her fiancé, her pearls and her fur coat but not give up her reliable Golf – and freedom. It was the first automotive advert that understood the growing consumer power of the working woman.
